Dear Revenge Guy, 

I have a roommate who is 3 weeks late on rent. She claims that her bank accounts were cancelled and is trying to set up a new one. 

She hasn’t been home for 3 weeks because she got a new job in a new city. I told her she needs to be out by the first of the month and give me the money she owes before she leaves. 

Every time I ask her what is going on with her bank accounts she comes up with a new story. All of her possessions are still in the apartment but I’m worried she is going to take all her things while I’m gone and leave for good without paying. 

How should I get my money or get back at her if she skips town for good?

I’d change the locks and let your landlord know what’s going on (if you’re not the landlord. 

I do think you’re right, she’s going to skip out on you.

Maybe send her a letter saying that in 30 days, if she hasn’t paid you, you’re going to sell her stuff to get your money. Take pictures of all of her stuff just in case she does get in, so you have proof it was there if you have to go to small claims court to get your money.
