We’ve heard a lot about Apple’s AirTags and how they are used by bad guys to track people, cars and other items.
Cars are stolen, people are stalked. Horrible stuff.
So it’s good to read a story where a bad guy is caught red-handed with the items he stole.
In this case, an airline subcontractor at Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport is nabbed by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office after a woman reported her luggage stolen and used the “Find My” app to track her luggage location.
While the sheriff’s office did find the luggage, they did not find the $1,600 worth of items in the luggage.
What they did find was $15,000 in jewelry that was stolen from a second victim’s suitcase.
So get yourself an Apple AirTag and protect your things!
