Dear Revenge Guy,
Several years ago, the husband of my niece was selling stuff on eBay, and was quite successful at it. Unfortunately, he had no credit, so any transactions were made on HER credit card.
Long story short, he never paid taxes on the money he made, and eventually, the government cracked down on eBay sellers, and he owed the Federal and Provincial governments over $40,000 dollars! He has paid off the Federal, but due to circumstances, the Provincial refused a payment plan, and wanted their money in one lump sum. They agreed to a settlement of $15,000.
My niece has a lien on her house because of this, and used her line of credit to pay the $15,000. Her loser husband promised to pay her back right away, because he has the money, but is now reneging , because he knows once she gets her money , she’s filing for divorce. He was her first and only boyfriend , and she trusted him. She was extremely naive!
How do we get him to pay her back, so she can get the lien removed, and get on with her life??? In the meantime, he is travelling, hoarding his cash into investments, and not contributing to the household in any way.
Please help!

Hi M,
Your niece needs to file for divorce now to protect what she has left.
Let the divorce lawyer take him to the cleaners, that’s their job.
Don’t let her wait for more bad things to happen to her.
Make sure your niece has all the info clear enough to present to a judge, she’ll get what she’s owed and he will get what he deserves!
Best Wishes,
The Revenge Guy
